IRONY that escapes the Insurrectionists

It is unfortunate that insurrectionists lack a sense of irony and even a sense of humor.
Otherwise, they might appreciate the keen irony in Donald Trump’s unfounded allegations that the country is being invaded by hordes of illegal criminal immigrants.
He alleges that illegal criminal gangs are taking over towns in the U.S. like Aurora, Colorado.
The irony is that criminals led by arch-felon Donald Trump are indeed plotting to take over the country, starting with the White House and the Congress. They plan to take over either through elections or according to some reports by other means.
Trump seems to be a great follower of Adolf Hitlers’s propaganda advice, set forth in stark terms in Volume One, Chapter VI of his testimonial, Mein Kampf, written in prison following his failed coup d’état, the 1923 beer hall Putsch in Munich.
See,
Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf English ed.(New York: Houghton Mifflin,1943 Ralph Manheim transl.), pp. 176-186. First published in German in 1925.
In Chapter VI of Volume One (on “War Propaganda”), the author asks, “To whom should propaganda be addressed? To the scientifically trained intelligentsia or to the less educated masses?” He answers, “It must be addressed always and exclusively to the masses.”
The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.
The propaganda approach of Donald Trump and his campaign is right out of Hitler’s playbook.
In 10 short pages of Mein Kampf the author presents a brilliant analysis of propaganda that, in the real world, moves the masses.
Democrats, if they are to effectively counter such propaganda, must understand the playbook their opponents are using.
To see how these propaganda techniques are being applied by Trump, see the second article listed in the BACKGROUND section above.
