Analysis
We have argued that Biden and other Western leaders should not participate in the Bali summit or other G-20 activities so long as Russia does, and should consider withdrawing from the organization and founding another comprised of civilized countries dedicated to expanding trade within the framework of the U.N. Charter.1
I don’t see how Biden or any democratic leader can sit down and talk to, much less shake hands with, a ruthless war criminal with blood dripping from his hands, who has killed 20 innocent civilians that very day. And more than 20 innocent Ukrainian soldiers, who are only defending their country against illegal aggression and barbaric war crimes by Russian soldiers.
One would hope that as soon as someone in the White House has time to think about it, staffers will walk back Joe Biden’s statement about possibly meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G-20 in Bali, Indonesia, to discuss the Brittney Griner case.!
Welcome to the era of “Biden unchained”.
Before Biden’s statement to CNN is clarified by staffers, if it is, let us take a glimpse into the frighteningly undisciplined mind of President Joe Biden.
The world at this moment is witnessing a nuclear confrontation between Russia and the United States, between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden.
George F, Will underlines the fact that the risk of nuclear war today may be graver than it was in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.
This idea of a nuclear confrontation is floating around in Biden’s brain, as is the case of WBA basketball star Brittney Griner, and a thousand other ideas.
What does he do?
The harebrained president of the United States floats the idea of meeting with Putin at the G-20 to seek the release from prison of Brittney Griner!
Think about that for a minute.
We have anticipated that Biden would cave in to Putin’s nuclear threats. This is how it happens.
The Telegraph reports:
Biden says Putin hasn’t changed position over jailed Brittney Griner (3:02 pm)
There has been no movement with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Moscow’s detention of American basketball player Brittney Griner, Joe Biden has told CNN.
She was jailed on drugs charges for nine years after cartridges containing less than a gram of hashish oil were found in her luggage.
The US President said he would meet with Putin at the G20 meeting next month if the Russian leader wanted to discuss the detained WNBA star, but that he generally had no intention of meeting with Putin although it would depend on the circumstances.
Joe Biden, the president who gave us the Afghanistan withdrawal decision, the man who told the world and Putin NATO would not respond with force if Russia invaded Ukraine, has once again revealed his sheer incompetence in the realm of foreign affairs.
Biden is full of himself right now.
When asked in an interview if age should be a factor in his decision whether or not to run for reelection in 2024, his response was to say that no other recent president had accomplished as much as he had in his first two years.
Biden is unchained right now.
Does he imagine for an instant that he can persuade Putin to stop committing war crimes in Ukraine and to withdraw his troops from that country? Biden didn’t make such a strong impression at his meeting with Putin in June 2021.
Does he understand that if he meets with Putin it will end Putin’s diplomatic isolation, as every other leader scrambles to meet with the Russian war criminal?
Is Biden anxious to tell Putin about the “exit ramp” he and his foreign policy team have crafted for him, so that he won’t lose face and power in Russia?
God save Ukraine from Joe Biden’s bright ideas!
He may be caving in to Putin’s nuclear threats. As he does so he is likely to declare, as he did about the Afghanistan withdrawal, that doing so is a great success.
Just as Neville Chamberlain touted his great success in Munich, when he returned to London after signing the Munich Pact in 1938.
God help us all!
