22 years ago the United States was caught up,in war fever as it stampeded toward the invasion of Iraq.
The issues in the case of Iraq, at least publicly, were similar to those of Iran today. Iraq had to be invaded to keep it from developing nuclear weapons.
Attacking Iran now is like killing your neighbor because be bought a gun and he might attack you in a year.
America is paying the price for having elected a stupid president who doesn’t have a clue about international affairs and who is driven to violence because of his ignorance of history and the emotional control of a six year-old child.
Joining the war of aggression against Iran launched by war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu is beyond stupid.
Trump’s demanding an “unconditional surrender” by Iran is miles beyond stupid.
What are we going to do, occupy Iran, a country of some 92 million people? Did we learn nothing from our Iraqi misadventure?
Such action would involve the commission of the international crime of aggression and violate the fundamental principles upon which the United Nations were founded.
The main question which few have asked and none have answered is, “How will this all end?
One is reminded of the wild enthusiasm for war that was felt by the multitudes in France and Germany at the beginning of Word War I.
How did that turn out?
