A malevolent president: The founders anticipated this. They provided a remedy:
Impeachment.
After only five months, we have seen Donald Trump’s malevolence converted into destructive actions. We have seen his lack of empathy converted into callous decisions that will cost thousands of American lives, and millions of lives abroad.
Our imagination cannot encompass the harm to the American people and to the world this malevolent president will wreak in the next four years.
All Republicans, with only a handful of exceptions, have joined the death cult of Donald Trump.
One is reminded of Jim Jones and the 900 cult followers who drank the Kool-Aid in Guyana in 1978, in what became known as the Jonestown massacre-suicide.
The United States liberated Europe from the Nazis in World War II.
It remains to be seen whether Americans will succeed in liberating the country, our democracy, and the world from the heartless actions of a malevolent president and his cult followers.
